Precision Scriber AMMO by MIG Jimenez, reference A.MIG-8550, is a scribing tool designed for detailing work in static scale modelling. It allows you to create structural lines, restore lines that were erased during sanding, and make clean cuts in styrene sheets.

This precision scribe is particularly suitable for reproducing panel lines on aircraft, vehicles, ships and other plastic scale models. Its fine tip also lets you engrave textures—for example, joints between stones or bricks—on suitable surfaces for building scenery and dioramas.

Use in scale modelling

To achieve a consistent engraving, it is recommended to work in successive passes, applying only light pressure at first. Using a rigid guide, such as a flexible ruler or a hard-edge masking tape made for scribing, helps keep the line straight and precise.

The tool is intended for working with plastic, PVC, wood, resin and other soft materials. It is not designed for metals, ceramics, or hard surfaces.
