Civil Vehicles Weathering Set A.MIG-7145 is a range of AMMO by MIG Jimenez weathering products designed for finishing scale models of civilian vehicles. It brings together four enamel-based patina products and one acrylic tint to create washes, vertical streaks, earth effects, and rust nuances.

This selection makes it possible to replicate surfaces that have been used, soiled, or exposed to the elements on automobiles, vans, agricultural machinery, and other civilian subjects. The products can be used separately or combined to build up a suitable patina gradually for the vehicle you are depicting.

Using for scale modelling

A wash is generally applied precisely in recessed areas to enhance the visibility of panel lines, grilles, hinges, and other details. Earth effects can then be used to enrich the lower bodywork, wheel arches, tires, or mechanical parts. The streaking products allow you to vary the appearance of metal areas affected by oxidation, while the acrylic color can be used to lay down an initial rust base on the relevant surfaces.

To maintain a controlled result, it’s recommended to work in thin layers and let each effect dry before adding the next one. This way, the intensity of the patina can remain subtle on a well-maintained vehicle or be strengthened for a more pronounced reproduction based on wear and outdoor conditions.
