Boeing 747-200, 1/450 - Revell 03999

The Revell 03999 is an assembled model kit of the Boeing 747-200 at a scale of 1/450. This plastic kit recreates one of the most famous long-haul jet airliners, recognizable by its twin-deck fuselage and its “Jumbo Jet” silhouette.

The Boeing 747 made its first flight in February 1969. The 747-200 version introduced more powerful engines as well as an increased fuel capacity compared to the first production aircraft. It helped drive the growth of intercontinental air routes over several decades.

The model includes 22 parts and reaches an assembled length of 158 mm. It depicts the aircraft with its four jet engines, a landing gear reproduced in detail, and structured surfaces. The decal sheet allows you to create a KLM decoration.

At a scale of 1/450, the real aircraft’s dimensions are reduced 450 times. This compact format is well suited for displaying a passenger airliner on a shelf, in an aviation collection, or within a small-scale airport diorama.

Assembly is done by assembling and gluing the parts. Careful preparation of the attachment points on the sprues, followed by light sanding if necessary, helps achieve a clean finish. Painting the parts before applying the decals highlights the livery. Using glue suited for plastic model kits, paints, and precision tools naturally completes the model-making materials.
