Boeing KC -135, 1/144 - Roden 350
The Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker by Roden, reference 350, is an assembly model kit at 1/144 representing the famous American in-flight refueling aircraft.
The KC-135 was developed by Boeing during the 1950s based on the aircraft family derived from the Boeing 367-80 prototype. Used for in-flight refueling, it was for several decades a major element of military air support. The KC-135R version corresponds to a re-engined evolution of this long line of tankers.
At a scale of 1/144, this replica makes it possible to build a large military aircraft in a format suited to modern aviation collections, display cases, and airbase dioramas. Assembly and painting provide the opportunity to highlight the characteristic fuselage lines, the four jet engines, and the in-flight refueling equipment.
