German Gneisenau Battleship, 1/350 - Trumpeter 05360

The German Gneisenau Battleship by Trumpeter, reference 05360, is a plastic model kit to be assembled, representing the German Gneisenau at a scale of 1/350. Once built, it measures 672.6 mm in length and 85.7 mm in width, a format that accurately reproduces the characteristic volumes of this great warship.

The Gneisenau belonged to the Scharnhorst class. Put into service in 1938, it took part in the Second World War alongside its sister ship, Scharnhorst. Its service record includes, in particular, operations in the North Sea and in the Atlantic. Severely damaged during a bombing raid at Kiel in February 1942, it did not return to active service before being scuttled in 1945.
