Large Surface Sanding Stick AMMO by MIG Jimenez, reference A.MIG-8565, is a sanding stick designed for working on large surfaces in model building. Supplied individually, it combines three abrasive grits: 320, 600 and 4000.

The different sanding areas are identified by their color, making it easy to move from corrective sanding to a finer finish. The flexibility of the backing allows it to follow flat, rounded, or slightly curved shapes, while still providing a working surface suited to large-scale parts.

Grits 320 and 600 are suitable for preparing and smoothing materials such as plastic, resin, metal, or wood. Grit 4000 is intended for polishing and finishing operations, especially on clear parts or surfaces that have already been painted. Used gently, it can also help to reduce the glossy look of a decal.

For controlled use, start with the grit that best matches the condition of the surface, then move on to a finer grit. Regular sanding without excessive pressure helps preserve raised details and the model’s finer features.
