The Brengun BRP72015 is a plastic model kit to be assembled in 1/72, representing the Bachem Natter M22/23, also known as BP-20. This reference recreates the M22 and M23 prototypes from the German Bachem Natter test program, with the configuration specific to these test aircraft.

    The Bachem Natter

The Bachem Ba 349 Natter was a German rocket interceptor developed during the Second World War. Designed for vertical takeoff, this very distinctive aircraft combines a compact fuselage, low-span wings, and rocket propulsion. Its development program remained limited to tests carried out at the end of the conflict.

The M22 and M23 machines correspond to prototypes from this experimentation phase. The subject is an original choice for a collection focused on Second World War aeronautical projects, German prototypes, or rocket-powered interceptors.

    The Brengun model kit

Built at 1/72, this plastic kit makes it possible to depict the Bachem Natter M22 or M23 in a compact format. At this scale, each dimension of the real aircraft is reduced by a factor of 72, making it easy to display in a military aviation showcase or in a small diorama dedicated to ground tests and late-war projects.

The reference BRP72015 is intended for the M22/23 variants, recognizable by their prototype features. The decals provide the markings corresponding to these two aircraft.

    Assembly and finishing

As with any plastic model kit to be assembled, careful preparation of the parts helps achieve a clean finish: removing the parts from the sprues, eliminating molding marks, dry-fitting and gradually gluing the sub-assemblies. Using an appropriate primer then makes it easier to check seams and apply paint.

A prototype from the 1944-1945 period can be finished with paint applied precisely, followed by a controlled weathering. Decals are best applied to a smooth, glossy surface, then protected with varnish suited to the desired result.
