A-36 Apache USAF, 1/72 - Brengun BRP72025
The USAF A-36 Apache Brengun BRP72025 is an airplane model kit to be assembled at 1/72. Made from injection-molded plastic, it depicts the North American A-36A, a dive-attack attack version from the Mustang family, used by the US Army Air Forces during the Second World War.
The North American A-36A
The A-36A was developed as an attack aircraft equipped for dive bombing. It entered operational service in 1943 and was used in particular in North Africa, Italy, and in the India-Burma theater. Its airbrakes and bomb-ordnance mounting points set it apart from the early Mustang fighter versions.
The Brengun model kit
This Brengun reference lets you build a 1/72-scale reproduction of the A-36 Apache with US markings. At this scale, the model makes an interesting subject for a collection devoted to American aviation of the Second World War, attack aircraft, or the various Mustang evolutions.
Assembly and finishing
As with any plastic model kit, assembly requires careful preparation of the parts before gluing. A suitable primer then makes it easier to apply paint and check the seams. Applying decals to a smooth surface helps achieve crisp markings; a matte or satin finish can be chosen depending on the desired look.
