Fokker E.V (D.VIII), 1/72 - Roden 004
The Fokker E.V (D.VIII) Roden 004 is a model airplane kit to assemble at 1/72. It reproduces the German fighter Fokker E.V, also designated D.VIII, a high-wing monoplane from the end of the First World War.
The Fokker D.VIII is distinguished by its so-called “parasol” configuration, with a wing mounted above the fuselage. Designed by Reinhold Platz for Fokker, the aircraft entered service in 1918 under the designation E.V before being renamed D.VIII.
This Roden 004 reference belongs to Roden’s range of injection-molded plastic aircraft models. At 1/72 scale, it lets you build a compact reproduction of an iconic fighter aircraft from the final months of the 1914-1918 conflict.
Building a First World War aircraft at this scale requires careful preparation of the parts, especially the fine components of the airframe and landing gear. Careful painting, followed by applying decals, helps recreate the distinctive appearance of a military aircraft from this period.
