Opel Blitz Bus 3.6-47 type W39 Ludewig, 1/72 - Roden 720
The Roden 720 is a plastic model kit to be assembled at 1/72 depicting the Opel Blitz 3.6-47 type W39 with a bus body built by Ludewig. This German military vehicle from the Second World War is reproduced in its original version, based on the chassis of the famous Opel Blitz truck.
The Opel 3.6-47 W39 was a bus used for transporting personnel. Its enclosed body and distinctive silhouette make it an original subject for a convoy scene, a basic rear diorama, or a collection of German military vehicles in 1/72 scale.
The kit includes a detailed reproduction of the chassis, suspension and exhaust parts, the engine and transmission, as well as an interior layout with driver’s compartment and passenger seats. Clear windows are provided on a transparent sheet. Photo-etched parts are also included for certain external details, including the roof rack, the rear ladder, mirrors, windshield wipers, and the marker rods.
The decal sheet allows you to build three vehicles: a Deutsche Afrika Korps bus in 1942, a medical vehicle in 1944, and a vehicle used on the Eastern Front near Kiev in 1941.
At a scale of 1/72, each real dimension of the vehicle is reduced 72 times. Assembly requires glue and painting requires paints suitable for the chosen camouflage scheme or decoration. Careful preparation of small parts, clear windows, and photo-etched components will help achieve a clean finish.
