The Geschützwagen IV b was developed as an artillery self-propelled gun. Originally designated Pz.Sfl. IV b, it was equipped with a 10.5 cm light howitzer le.F.H. 18/1 mounted in an open-top superstructure. This vehicle is a special subject for a collection of German armored vehicles from the Second World War or for a diorama project dedicated to self-propelled artillery.

This injection-molded plastic kit in 1/35 scale includes 590 plastic parts, comprising a lower hull, an upper hull, and a turret made using slide molding. It also features vinyl tracks and a photo-etched sheet.

Once assembled, the model measures 162 mm long, 83 mm wide, and 73 mm high. The decal sheet allows you to depict the vehicle with Balkenkreuz markings, in a campaign grey finish.

Assembly and finishing

Assembly requires the usual supplies for static model building: plastic glue, cutting and prep tools, suitable paints, as well as finishing products. Applying a primer makes painting easier and highlights any touch-ups that may be needed before weathering. The photo-etched parts should be handled carefully using precision tools.
