Scribing Tape - Straight Edge 5 mm x 3 m AMMO by MIG Jimenez A.MIG-8246 is a rigid guide strip designed to precisely trace or rescribe straight structural lines and rows of rivets on static model kits.

5 mm wide and supplied in a 3-metre roll, this transparent tape lets you maintain good visibility of the surface details while positioning. Its straight edge acts as a guide for the scribing tool or riveting tool, ensuring a consistent line on panels, hatches, and other structural lines.

Its adhesive keeps the tape in place during work. It can be reused several times before losing its bonding strength. Despite its rigidity, it remains flexible enough to follow certain curved surfaces while keeping a crisp guiding edge.

Modelling use

To keep the line tracing crisp, apply the tape to a clean surface, then use the scriber with light, gradual passes rather than excessive pressure. Fine sanding after scribing will then remove any burrs before primer and painting.
