Deep Oceans A.MIG-2200 from AMMO by MIG Jimenez is an acrylic gel designed to depict water in dioramas and vignettes. Its deep blue tone is ideal for creating dark marine surfaces and for bringing oceans, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, or icy water areas to life.

Water effect for dioramas

This product features a translucent finish designed to create a sense of depth while preserving a natural-looking water color. Its consistency allows you to pour it onto different surfaces, including inclined ones. Slow drying gives you time to work the material and form waves, a choppy sea, or the motion of a waterfall.

The pot contains 250 ml of acrylic gel. Once dry, the product dries in about 24 hours. It is odorless and tools can be cleaned with water.

Application and shaping

To prepare an aquatic scene, it is recommended to paint the area that will represent the bottom first. The gel can then be applied with a spatula or a similar tool. During drying, the surface can be worked with old brushes, sculpting tools, or toothpicks to shape the relief of the water.

Applying in thin layers lets you gradually build up the depth effect and the desired finish. Deep Oceans can be mixed with other products from the same range or with small amounts of acrylic paint to slightly adjust the tone. It can also be thinned with water or an acrylic thinner to change its consistency.
