Lancaster B.II gun barrels-oval type f.A, 1/72 - Quickboost QB72 465

Quickboost QB72 465 is a resin cannon set designed to detail an Avro Lancaster B.II at 1/72 scale. This reference reproduces machine-gun barrels with oval perforations and is made for Airfix Lancaster B.II kits.

The set includes 12 resin barrels, with hollow ends and oval perforations represented on the cooling jacket sleeves. It is a replacement solution to refine the look of the defensive armament on a WWII British bomber model.

The Lancaster B.II differs from the B.I and B.III versions by its Bristol Hercules radial engines. The defensive machine-gun positions are among the visually distinctive elements of this large four-engine bomber when reproduced in 1/72.

Resin parts require careful preparation before installation: delicate separation from the sprue/moulding supports, cleaning, then gluing with a cyanoacrylate glue suited to resin. A dark paint finish followed by a light dry-brush or a metallic finish helps highlight the details of the barrels and their perforations.
