Strips 0.50 x 1.00 x 350mm - STYRENE STRIP - AK Interactive AK6508

The AK Interactive AK6508 styrene strips are a construction material designed for detailing and scratchbuilding in static scale modelling. Each profile features a rectangular section of 0.50 x 1.00 mm for a length of 350 mm.

Made from opaque white polystyrene, these strips make it easy to add or recreate structural lines, battens, frames, reinforcements, timber framing elements, or fine details on a model, a display scene, or a diorama. Their small cross-section is ideal for precision work on vehicles, aircraft, ships, buildings, and custom creations.

The AK6508 reference comes packed in a bag of 10 strips. The profiles can be cut to the desired length using a suitable cutting tool, then prepared, glued, and painted as part of a scale modelling project.

Use in scale modelling

A new blade craft knife, a ruler, and a fine abrasive make it easier to prepare the lengths. After gluing, the styrene can be incorporated into the model or diorama painting and weathering steps.
