NON METALLIC METAL: STEEL - AK Interactive AK11601

NON METALLIC METAL: STEEL is a set of 6 3rd Generation acrylic paints by AK Interactive, reference AK11601. It is designed to create steel effects using the NMM technique (Non Metallic Metal), which reproduces the look of metal using contrast, shadows and highlights rather than metallic paint.

The tones in the set can be mixed together to create smooth transitions between dark areas and points of light. They are suitable for brush painting and can also be used with an airbrush after dilution.

Use in scale modeling

Careful surface preparation, followed by progressive work on shadows and highlights, helps strengthen the illusion of painted steel using NMM.
