MiG - 23 MLD Flogger-K, 1/32 - Trumpeter 03211

The MiG-23MLD Flogger-K Trumpeter 03211 model kit is an assembly static display model at the 1/32 scale, representing the MiG-23MLD version of the Soviet variable-geometry fighter. This reference reproduces an aircraft from the MiG-23 family, known by the NATO code “Flogger”, with its variable-sweep wings and distinctive silhouette.

The MiG-23 was developed by the Mikoyan-Gourevich design bureau as a fast interceptor, also featuring ground-attack capabilities. Entering service with the Soviet Air Forces from 1970, it underwent many evolutions. The MiG-23MLD corresponds to the culmination of the fighter versions in this family. Assembly requires careful preparation of the many parts and careful identification of subassemblies before gluing. Applying a primer makes painting easier and helps verify seams. For a realistic finish, the decals are best applied to a smooth, glossy surface, before appropriate protection for the desired final look. Light weathering can then be used to highlight panel lines, mechanical areas, and signs of use.
