PzKpfw II Ausf. F, 1/76 - Revell 03229

The Revell 03229 model reproduces a PzKpfw II Ausf. F at the 1/76 scale. This military model to be assembled depicts the F version of the Panzerkampfwagen II, a German light tank used during the Second World War. The kit includes 61 parts and measures 63 mm in length once built.

The PzKpfw II had initially been intended as a training vehicle and a transitional solution before being put into combat due to production delays of the Panzer III and Panzer IV. It took part in the campaigns in Poland and France, and was also used on the Eastern Front and in North Africa. Developed starting in March 1941, the Ausführung F was distinguished in particular by strengthened front and side armor.

At 1/76 scale, this compact armored vehicle is well suited for creating a small-format military scene. The box includes a turret that can be aimed, flexible tracks, two figures, and a diorama base with a ruined building reproduction. These elements allow you to place the vehicle in a setting inspired by the theaters of operations of the period.

Two decors are provided for vehicles of the Deutsches Afrikakorps in North Africa: an example of the Panzer-Regiment 8 of the 15. Panzer-Division, dated 1941 to 1942, as well as a vehicle from the 5. Leichte Division in 1941.

Building a model at 1/76 requires careful preparation of the small parts and precise gluing. Using an appropriate primer then makes painting easier, while a light weathering can help bring out the details of the hull, the turret and the running gear. Applying the decals to a smooth surface helps achieve crisp markings.
