The Spitfire Mk.IX

The Supermarine Spitfire is one of the most iconic British fighters of the Second World War. The Mk.IX version appeared in 1942, based on the Spitfire Mk.V, to provide a variant powered by a more powerful engine. Assembly and finishing

A primer suitable for scale models makes it easier to check the seams and prepares the surface for painting. The finish can then bring out the different materials in an operational scene: painted surfaces of the aircraft, uniforms of the pilots and mechanics, trackside equipment, and the diorama ground. A light weathering, applied with restraint, can enhance the lifelike character of an aircraft used on a RAF airfield.
