The Aber Models 35 L-227 accessory offers a set of metal gun barrels in the 1/35 scale for British armored vehicles Valentine Mk.II to Mk.VII as well as Matilda Mk.III/IV. It includes a 40 mm QF 2-pounder ROQF Mk.X late-type barrel and the associated Besa machine-gun barrel.

Designed to replace the original plastic parts, this set refines the reproduction of the main armament and the coaxial machine gun on a British Second World War tank model. It is intended for the corresponding MiniArt and Tamiya kits.

The Valentine and Matilda are among the iconic British infantry tanks of the period. The 40 mm 2-pounder gun and the Besa machine gun are distinctive visual elements present on several of their versions.

Assembly and finishing

Preparing a metal accessory requires careful cutting at its attachment points and dry-fitting before gluing. A cyanoacrylate glue suitable for metal parts is generally used. Applying a metal primer before painting then helps the chosen finish adhere properly.
