ENGINE OIL - AK Interactive AK084

ENGINE OIL AK084 is an enamel weathering product from the AK Interactive range, designed to replicate the streaks, drips and deposits of fresh engine oil on static scale models. Its dark, viscous appearance makes it ideal for treating engines, transmissions, mechanical parts, vehicle horizontal surfaces and diorama floors depicting a workshop, a hangar or a maintenance area.

Packaged in a 35 ml bottle, this product is applied with a brush to adjust the intensity of the effects. Localized application helps suggest a leak or an oil stain; applying multiple layers adds more depth and can enhance the satin look of areas that have been freshly oiled.

For lighter marks, halos or stretched drips, ENGINE OIL AK084 can be diluted with white spirit. It can be used on civilian, military, railway or aviation subjects, whatever their scale, to enrich the patina of mechanical elements and scenery.

Application tips

Work with small touches on a dry surface to keep control of the effect. Oil stains look more natural when concentrated around mechanical areas, caps, gaskets, hatches or underneath a vehicle. Let successive applications dry before adding a new layer.
