Dark mud - AK Interactive AKABT130

Dark Mud AK Interactive AKABT130 is an oil paint from the ABT 502 range, formulated for chipping, weathering and aging work in static scale modeling. Its dark brown shade allows you to recreate grime, mud build-ups and damp areas on vehicles, trains, figures, or scenery details.

This color can be used subtly on lower hulls, running gear, tracks, wheels and surfaces exposed to splashes. Dark mud tones also make a useful base before adding lighter shades, in order to create a more nuanced finish and suggest fresh mud beneath a more dried layer.

Oil paint provides a working time well-suited to blending, streaking and localized effects. It can be used on its own or combined with other weathering tones to vary earthy hues. AK Interactive particularly recommends combining it with reference AKABT125 Light Mud, or with plaster, to enhance texture effects.
