M1083 MTV, 1/35 - Trumpeter 01007

The Trumpeter 01007 kit reproduces at 1/35 the M1083 FMTV Standard Cargo Truck, a U.S. military tactical 6x6 truck. This static plastic model represents the cargo version of the M1083, designed for transporting equipment and personnel.

The kit includes more than 460 parts, spread across 11 sprues, with a cab and tires. The finished model measures approximately 198.6 mm long and 69.8 mm wide. A sheet of photo-etched parts is also included.

Trumpeter offers a cab reproduced using multi-direction sliding molds, as well as a detailed drivetrain assembly including the engine, gearbox, differential housings and suspension elements. The hollow tires feature tread-belt texture and sidewall details; the hubs are made up of separate elements. The windshield and side windows are provided as clear parts.

At the 1/35 scale, each dimension of the real vehicle is reduced by a factor of 35. This military truck can serve as the main subject for a logistics scene, a convoy, or a contemporary diorama.

For assembly, you will need glue suitable for plastic models, precision cutting tools, fine abrasive paper, and modeling paints. Applying a primer before painting makes it easier to prepare the surfaces and highlight the details.
