AK Interactive AK12101 Precision Paneliner Light Grey is an aging product for static scale models, supplied in a 30 ml bottle. Its light grey shade is designed to emphasize structural lines, panel lines, recesses, and raised details with controlled contrast.

An enamel-based panel liner

This reference uses an enamel-based formulation designed to flow by capillarity along recessed lines and around fine details. The product helps improve the visibility of panels, rivets, hatches, and part separations on scale models of aircraft, military vehicles, cars, ships, figures, or science-fiction subjects.

The cap includes a precision brush with long, sparse fibers. It allows the panel liner to be applied with control to the areas to be treated, especially along fine panel lines and raised details.

Application in scale modeling

The Precision Paneliner Light Grey is used to accentuate surface details after painting. Apply a small amount in contact with a structure line or a recess: the product’s fluidity lets it move into the details by capillarity. Excess can be removed with a slightly moistened brush dipped in White Spirit.

Applying it to a properly prepared and fully dry surface helps ensure a clean result. Controlling the product amount, the intensity of the contrast, and cleaning up excess allows you to achieve the desired effect, from simply outlining details to more pronounced weathering.
