AK Interactive Real Colors RC899 is a paint shade of US Army Helo Drab FS 34031, intended for static model making. This Real Colors range reference reproduces the FS 34031 color used as a general shade on US Army helicopters starting in 1985.

Its lacquer-based formulation is designed for airbrush application. The paint provides good adhesion on a properly prepared surface and dries to a smooth finish, suitable for patina and weathering steps.

To adjust its fluidity depending on the tool and technique used, it can be thinned with the AK Interactive highly compatible thinners RC701 or RC702, or with a thinner intended for lacquer-based paints.

Painting tips
