Tracks Surface Primer 100 ml 3GEN AK Interactive AK11251 is an acrylic surface primer designed for static scale models, figures, and decorative elements. Its shade is created to prepare the painting of tracks and other parts whose final appearance calls for a dark, earthy base.

This reference from the 3GEN range is formulated for application with an airbrush or a brush. Its self-leveling behavior helps you achieve an even coat while preserving the surface details of the parts. It can be used straight from the bottle or thinned with a suitable acrylic thinner.

Prepare the tracks before painting

Applying a primer helps to even out the surface before the painting steps, washes, dry brushing, and weathering. On an armored vehicle model, the Tracks shade provides a consistent base for then creating metallic variations, dirt streaks, dust, mud, or wear on the track pads.

Preparing the parts remains an important step: remove any mold lines, and deburr the parts if necessary, then clean the surfaces before application to help ensure a clean finish. Shake the bottle well before use. After drying, the primer can be sanded after 24 hours.
