The MiG-25 RB Soviet Reconnaissance Plane ICM 72173 is an injection-molded plastic model kit to be assembled at 1/72 scale, depicting the MiG-25RB version of the Soviet reconnaissance aircraft. This ICM reference captures the MiG-25’s particularly recognizable silhouette, with its long fuselage, lateral air intakes, and large wing lifting surfaces.

The MiG-25RB is part of the MiG-25 family developed by the Mikoyan design bureau in the late 1960s. This variant combined reconnaissance missions with bombing capabilities. It served with the Soviet Air Force and was also exported, notably to Iraq and Syria. The Iraqi MiG-25RB was used during the Iran-Iraq War, between 1980 and 1988.

Assembly and finishing

Assembling a 1/72 aircraft model requires careful preparation of the parts before gluing, especially along the fuselage, wings, and air intake mating lines.
