ATOM Rusty Tracks and Chains Set AMMO by MIG Jimenez ATOM-20724 is a set of four ATOM acrylic paints in 20 ml bottles, designed for painting tank tracks, chains and oxidized metal surfaces on scale models and dioramas.

The selection combines light and dark rust shades, complemented by a black-brown tone. It allows you to lay down a base color and then vary the shades to reproduce the nuanced look of metal exposed to oxidation. This set is particularly suitable for working on the tracks of armoured vehicles, but also for accessories, mechanical parts and weathered metal equipment.

ATOM range paints are water-based acrylics usable with a brush or an airbrush. They can be applied straight from the bottle or thinned with ATOM thinner ATOM-20500. For a more realistic result, applying several fine tones helps create transitions between fresh rust, old rust and darker areas.

Before painting, proper preparation of the parts helps achieve a consistent finish. After drying, details can be enhanced with washes, pigments or ageing effects suited to your modelling project.
