QUAKE CRACKLE CREATOR TEXTURES Old Blacktop by AMMO by MIG Jimenez, reference A.MIG-2183, is a 40 ml texture designed to reproduce the look of old, cracked asphalt surfacing on bases, dioramas, and scale model scenes.

This product from the Quake Crackle Creator range lets you create crackled surfaces that evoke the effects of heat and lack of moisture. The Old Blacktop shade is suitable for representing deteriorated roadways, abandoned urban areas, parking lots, roads, or sections of artificial ground integrated into a scene.

Diorama application

The texture is applied directly from the jar using a spatula or a palette knife onto a surface that has been primed beforehand. After drying, it forms a cracking effect. The thickness applied affects the final look: a thicker layer produces larger fragments and more pronounced spaces between the cracks.

Used in small quantities, it can also be used to simulate weathered areas on an already painted surface, especially to enhance the aging of a vehicle, a structure, or a decorative element exposed to the elements.

Painting and weathering

The color of the texture allows you to work directly on the appearance of old asphalt. Once dry, the surface can receive acrylic paints and weathering products, enamel, or lacquers to tone down the roadway, accentuate the cracks, add dust, tracks of passage, or dirt stains.
