ACRYLIC FILTER Sand A.MIG-0816 is an acrylic filter in a sand tone designed by AMMO by MIG Jimenez for finishing scale models and miniatures. Offered in a 15 ml bottle, this ready-to-use product is used to tint a base coat with a light, controlled colored veil.

A filter helps to harmonize different camouflage shades, add subtle chromatic variations, or visually distinguish certain areas on a vehicle, aircraft, a diorama, or a figure. The Sand tone naturally fits in modulation and weathering work that uses sandy color ranges.

This acrylic filter is applied directly onto the model surface with a brush. It is recommended to moisten the brush with the product, then apply it without saturating the area being treated. Its water-based formula allows you to correct or remove the filter with water during its drying time. Full drying takes place within 24 hours.

The ACRYLIC FILTER Sand can also be used with an airbrush to create progressive tint effects. It is thinned and cleaned with water, using Acrylic Thinner A.MIG-2000 or Cleaner A.MIG-2001.

Application tips

To preserve the sharpness of the effect, apply the filter in light layers onto a clean, dry surface. Using a soft brush helps ensure an even distribution of the product. Several thin applications allow you to gradually build up the desired tone.
