Sd.Kfz.164 Nashorn (Tamiya), 1/48 - Hauler HLX48404

The Hauler HLX48404 set is a 1/48 detailing kit designed for the Sd.Kfz.164 Nashorn Tamiya model. It combines resin and photo-etched parts to enhance the reproduction of this German Second World War tank destroyer.

The Nashorn, designated Sd.Kfz.164, was a German self-propelled anti-tank gun armed with a powerful 8.8 cm cannon and mounted on an open superstructure. Used from 1943 onwards, it is recognizable in particular by its tall silhouette and open fighting compartment.

Photo-etched detailing parts require careful preparation: they are separated using a thin blade or a suitable pair of tweezers, then bent precisely before gluing. The resin elements benefit from being cleaned and then glued with an appropriate cyanoacrylate glue. Applying separate painting to some small parts can make finishing easier.
