The Lockheed L-1049G Super Constellation belongs to the family of four-engine piston airliners from the Constellation series, recognizable by its tailplane with three vertical stabilizers. This Super Constellation variant marked post-war commercial aviation, when large quadrimotor aircraft handled long-haul routes before jet airliners became widespread.
