The Colombo Express container ship

The Revell 05152 model kit

The cargo is represented by 23 finely engraved container blocks. The ship can be displayed with or without these containers, allowing you to choose between a full activity configuration and a cleared deck. The set also includes a free-fall lifeboat, separate walkways, a rotating propeller, a movable rudder, and a display base.

Decals and finishing

The decal sheet makes it possible to build six ships of the Colombo Express class. Painting will highlight the separation between the hull, deck, superstructures, safety equipment, and containers. A primer suitable for plastic models makes it easier to prepare the surfaces before painting, while careful application of the decals provides a crisp finish to the markings.

At this scale, clean work on the small parts, removing sprue lines, and precise gluing of the superstructures strongly contribute to the final result. Light weathering can also emphasize the deck reliefs and add a realistic touch to a model intended to be displayed on its base.
