F/A-18F Super Hornet, 1/72 - Revell 3834

Revell 03834 recreates the F/A-18F Super Hornet at 1/72, in its two-seat configuration. This injection-plastic model kit to be assembled lets you build one of the most recognizable carrier-based combat aircraft of contemporary U.S. Navy aviation.

The F/A-18F is the two-seat version of the Super Hornet. Designed for fighter and strike missions, it entered service with the US Navy in 1999. Compared with earlier F/A-18 Hornet variants, the Super Hornet is distinguished in particular by a deeply redesigned fuselage, angular air intakes, and a more imposing silhouette. The second crew station accommodates a weapons systems officer, who assists the pilot in operating the onboard systems, weaponry, and navigation.

At the 1/72 scale, each dimension of the real aircraft is reduced by a factor of 72. The kit includes 97 parts and achieves a built length of 253 mm. It comes with a complete weapons loadout, as well as decals allowing you to choose between two display options.

Assembly is based on standard plastic model techniques: preparing parts on sprues, gluing, painting, and applying decals. Paying special attention to the two-seat cockpit, the landing gear, the external stores, and the markings will help highlight the fine detail of this reproduction.

The illustrated, multilingual instruction booklet accompanies the build. Revell rates this reference at Level 4, for modelers who already have experience with gluing and painting.
