The Mr. Weathering Brush Pen MBS-01 from Mr Hobby - Gunze is a set of reservoir brushes designed for painting and weathering work in static scale modeling. The reference MBS-01 combines a fine brush and a flat brush, each fitted with an integrated reservoir in the handle.

Reservoir brushes for painting and weathering

These brushes can be filled with water-based paint, Mr. Weathering Color, or a suitable thinning/diluting liquid. The reservoir lets you have the product on hand directly in the handle during work—an easy solution for blended effects, touch-ups, and controlled application on a model, a figure, or a scenery element.

The fine brush is ideal for narrow areas, small details, and localized applications. The flat brush provides a wider working surface. Its removable ferrule allows the use of a longer flat tip, useful for working on larger surfaces.

Use in scale modeling

The MBS-01 naturally fits into weathering and aging steps: blending effects, working traces, color transitions, or applying weathering products. To preserve the quality of the brushes, it is recommended to carefully close the caps after use with water-based paints and to return the contents to its original bottle during prolonged storage.

Strong solvent-based products, such as lacquer paints or solvent-based adhesives, must not be placed in the reservoir.
