The Watercolor Pencil Set Splashes, Dirt and Stains from AK Interactive, reference AK10044, is a set of five water-soluble pencils designed to create effects of dirt and streaks on static scale models.

This set includes the shades Dust / Rainmarks, Concrete Marks, Earth Brown, Buff and Streaking Dirt. They allow you to work on dust, earth, and concrete marker effects, as well as drips and localized grime on vehicles, aircraft, figures, buildings, or decorative elements.

The water-soluble pencils are used to apply color precisely to details, raised surfaces, edges, or areas exposed to splashes. Water is then used to blend, soften, or draw out the pigment in order to adjust the intensity of the effect. Their format is particularly suited to fine touch-ups and the gradual weathering of a base coat.

For consistent application, it is recommended to work on a clean surface and apply in light layers. The effects can be combined with other weathering techniques, such as washes, pigments, or modeler-appropriate aging products.
