Watercolor Pencil Sand - AK Interactive AK10009

The Watercolor Pencil Sand AK Interactive AK10009 is a water-based weathering pencil designed for finishing work on static scale models, figures and scenery. Its sand shade makes it possible to achieve dust effects, lightening and grime on a wide range of subjects.

At 17 cm long, this pencil uses a semi-grease lead made for scale modelling. It enables localized and controlled application, especially on raised details, edges, panels, or areas exposed to deposits of earth and dust.

Used dry or worked with water, the Watercolor Pencil Sand can be used to create tone transitions, vertical streaks, dust accumulations or more subtle patina effects. A matte surface is particularly suited to promoting adhesion and improving control over the final result.

For finishing, the modeller can apply the material directly from the tip, then blend it with a slightly damp brush. Testing on a spare part or a less visible area helps adjust the intensity of the effect before continuing with overall weathering.
