Yak 140 Prototype, 1/72 - ModelSvit MSVIT72031

The Yak-140 Prototype ModelSvit MSVIT72031 is an assembled airplane scale model at 1/72, depicting the Yakovlev Yak-140, a Soviet light supersonic fighter project developed in the mid-1950s.

The Yak-140 was especially characterized by its circular frontal air intake and its swept mid-wing. The prototype did not go beyond ground testing: the program was stopped shortly after its rollout for taxiing tests. This original subject is an interesting choice for a collection dedicated to Soviet prototypes and post-war experimental aircraft.
